4. How We Share Your Information
For the purposes of this section, "you" refers to the individual using the Platform. Because your role determines what information is shared, we have specified below whether a particular disclosure applies to you as a User, a Creator, or both.
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With other Users, applying to Users and purchasers: if you buy a work, your username and basic purchase details, such as the title of the work purchased and the transaction date, will be visible to the respective Creator to enable them to verify and fulfill your order. Creators do not receive your full payment details or your email address unless you choose to share it with them directly.
- With charitable organizations, applying to Users and purchasers: if you buy a work linked to a specific charity, we may share anonymized aggregate donation information with that charitable organization. This aggregated data does not identify you personally; we do not share your name, email, or specific purchase amount with the charity unless we have obtained your explicit separate consent.
- With payment processors, applying to Creators: if you are a Creator, we share your provided payout details, such as your legal name, bank account information, or PayPal or Payoneer email address, with our third-party payment processors solely for the purpose of processing your quarterly payouts, minus the 3% admin fee. These processors are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for payment processing.
- With third-party service providers, applying to all Users: we share necessary data with trusted service providers who help us operate the Platform, including hosting providers, email service providers, and analytics providers.
- For legal compliance, applying to all Users: we may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FuWiMu, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer, applying to all Users: if FuWiMu is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on the Platform if such a transfer occurs and your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
Retention periods depend on the active status of your account, our need to provide services to you, legal and regulatory obligations, and the need to resolve potential disputes.
If you close your account, we may still retain certain information to comply with legal obligations or for legitimate business interests.
